TEXT FILE METHOD

Sometimes a user wants to be able to make simple changes of data on their web page. This might be a calendar of events or updated news items. This can be done by changing a simple text file.

Current Event Calendar:

Jan1		Celebrate!

Jan 15		Pay bills

Feb 1		Have fun

Feb 15		Pay more bills

Mar 1		Play with kits

Method ...

1. The user composes the text in a text editor.

2. Saves it on his computer.

3. Uploads the file to the web server. Filename automatically changed to "news.txt"

The user can even cut and paste the existing text off the web display for editing locally.
